Currently BMS Offshore Racing Team is running a 36 foot Daytona Eliminator full canopied Offshore Race Boat. This year we are running Performance-1 class (P1-39 Extreme cat) we will be running in all sanctions and associations, POPRA Pacific Offshore Powerboat Racing Assoc. / OSS Offshore Super Series / APBA American Powerboat Assoc. / SBI Super Boat International. I am currently the Director of Race Operations POPRA, and have been for the last three and half years and a member of the club POPRA for the last 10 years.
The Team BRUNNER MOTORSPORTS / JRP MOTORSPORTS / PurePower! Marine! entry has changed from last season. Last season the power plants for the race boat were Mercury Mercruiser Hp 525’s running in the super cat light class / super cat (SBI). Now the team has switched directions and has changed motors and we now have Mercury Racing Class 1 Offshore injected motors with approx 900hp each for a total 1800hp which equates to 140 + + MPH Max top speed (kilo) and in race trim set up, full of fuel and propped for competition we would be running in 110-mph P1-class. 2006 Team Sponsors are as follows.

In my First year at the throttles in factory 1 production manufacturers class I was awarded the APBA’s high points throttle man of the year award as well as my driver receiving the driver high points award for 1998 season. We ran all races POPRA / APBA this year in a highly competitive class and finished runner up 2nd place to another 29 ft. Warlock, the REVO sunglass team of Paul Abreu and Bob Villa. At seasons end there was only a (5-point) difference between the 2 teams so we received a close second place, regular season, then off to the World Championships.
